FAQs

1. How do I book?

This website now allows online bookings, which means you can click the BOOK ONLINE button, select the date of your event and if we have availability you can then book online and your booking will automatically be entered into our diary system.

Please note that our equipment is subject to availability (viewable on this website) and is available to book via www.KBCASTLES.COM on a "first come first served" basis. We are unable to reserve any equipment and we are unable to guarantee availability of any equipment at the time of your booking when in email conversations.

For example, we could be in email conversation regarding a quote for a large scale event, with emails going backwards and forwards for days. At the time of the first email the equipment could be available, but a few days later, someone could book online and book before you.

For this reason, we would recommend booking via the website to guarantee the equipment is available

2. How much space is needed for the equipment?

You will need to allow a minimum of 5 feet at the front and rear of the inflatable bouncy castle and 2 feet either side. This is to allow access and the blower at the rear. For example, a 15ft by 15ft inflatable would require a minimum clear space of 25ft by 17ft.

Please ensure all garden items such as garden toys, swings, slides, dog mess, patio furniture, rubbish etc. are removed from the area where the castle is to be sited, also there should be no overhanging trees or bushes.

PLEASE NOTE: It is your responsibility to ensure that there is enough space for us to unload and inflate our equipment in your chosen location. If we arrive and find that there is not enough space by using the diagram below the table, you will be required to pay the full price if you make incorrect calculations on space.

Krazy bouncy castles staff are unable to give advice on whether your chosen bouncy castle will fit inside your chosen venue, over the phone without a site visit. It is your responsibility to ensure the equipment will be able to be setup in the venue and our vans will fit inside the car park barriers.

If you are unable to measure up, then we can offer a site visiting service

3. What do the prices include?

All bouncy castle booking prices include local delivery, a small charge may need to be charged for out of area deliveries, (please contact us for delivery rates). You will also receive everything needed to inflate the castle, which will be carried out by us at no extra charge. This includes a blower, extension cable, set up, inflation and collection. No Hidden Extras.

4. Do you offer any discounts?

Yes, we offer a discount on multiple items and also have a great range of package deals.

5. Can we hire for more than one day?

Yes, you can providing, the area is totally secure, i.e locked indoors or with 6ft fences and locked gates for outdoors.

6.How many children can go on an inflatable at one given time?

We do have a safety guideline for every inflatable, this can be found for each individual inflatable on each page. Simply click on numbers of users and you will find out what is recommended.

7. What do we need to do to the garden/field/hall/car park etc before the inflatable arrives?

Please clear the driveway / side passage so that we can get clear access to the garden. Please make sure the grass is not too long and that it is clear of any sharp objects, branches, twigs, stones or animal mess.

We can not setup on dry/dusty/wet mud, loose stones, gravel, shingle or animal mess - please make sure the garden is clean and tidy before we arrive.

If we are setting up on a hard surface, such as an indoor hall or concrete etc please ensure the floor is swept before we arrive.

If you would like to setup the inflatables on an outdoor hard surface area, then please ensure you have sent photos of the area into us before you make your booking.

8.Can I hire a Bouncy Castle in bad weather?

We at Krazy Bouncy Castles would never want a special occasion to be ruined by bad weather however if there are extreme weather conditions i.e. heavy showers or high winds unfortunately we cannot provide an inflatable because of the risk to you & your guests as inflatables become very slippery when wet. Our castles do have fitted shower covers so light showers are not a problem.

9.What time will you arrive?

We are very flexible & will do our best to supply the castle as & when you require it.

10.How long does it take to set up a bouncy castle?

It takes approximately 20 minutes to set up or pack away.

11.Can I collect an inflatable from you & set it up myself?

No, unfortunately this is not allowed due to insurance & safety reasons.

Yes, there is a risk of injury when using our equipment, just like there is a risk in carrying out every activity you do every day.

Please ensure you understand the risks before hiring equipment from us and take out your own insurance if you are planning a fun day/corporate event etc.

Please contact us if you require assistance with this.

18. How do you secure your inflatables to the ground?

For grass surfaces, we use 18 inch ribbed ground stakes.

For indoor hard surfaces, we use sandbags.

19. Can the bouncy castle or other inflatables etc go through the house to get to the garden?

We would prefer to take the inflatables via a side gate. We can usually take our standard size of our inflatables etc through the house, but you must ensure there is a clear way for our delivery team to get through to the setup location. If there is not a clear route through then we may not be able to deliver your inflatable. We can not be held responsible for any damage to the floors/walls/doors or anything else that may arise from transporting the equipment through the house.

Plese note: Large inflatables will not fit through a regular front door, a large side entrance is required or a large front garden could be suitable, it is very heavy and unfortunately we simply can not squeeze this into tight areas

20. Is Krazy Bouncy Castles electrical equipment PAT Tested?

All of our electrical equipment is regularly inspected for electrical safety (PAT Tested)

21.How can I pay?

Payment is required upon delivery; it can be cash, visa oalternatively you can pay at the time of booking via our online booking system.

22.What happens if it rains during a hire?

All of our units are operated with RCD circuit breakers fitted to the fans, and also have weatherproof connectors for external use (the plug to the mains must be indoors). It is recommended that you stop use if the rain becomes heavy, as the castle can become slippery when wet. This can be dried with a towel.

23.How does the inflatable operate?

All of our units run on electric fans. The blowers must be kept switched on at all times the castle is on hire. Failure to do this will result in the castle deflating.

24.How much does the castle cost for me to run?

On average electric costs €1 for every 2 hours.

25.How can I be sure that you won't let me down?

We are a family business and pride ourselves on our strong reputation which we have built over a number of years. Your recommendation is key to our future success. Many of our customers come back to us year after year. We will confirm your booking in writing and you can be assured we will not let you down on the day Obviously like everyone else we are susceptible to events beyond our control like traffic delays & accidents (even if we are not directly involved) but thankfully we have never been affected to any degree with these issues.

26.What happens if there is a problem with the bouncy castle?

It is unlikely you will encounter any problems as our equipment is regularly serviced and well maintained. Providing the equipment is used in accordance with the Terms and Conditions then there should be no problems, however should any difficulty arise you should contact us immediately so that we can come out as soon as possible to rectify the problem.
